Stories: Excerpts from a caseworker's journal in Kenya

Kakuma Refugee Camp, Northern Kenya

The process for entering the US as a refugee is often long, including a series of interviews.  These interviews are often intense as the interviewer reviews details of their refugee experience.  The following link is to some reflections an interviewer wrote about the stories she was hearing while working in Kenya with Church World Service.  This also addresses experiences of many Somali refugees, which are so important for us to understand as Columbus has the second highest population of Somalis in the US!  This will hopefully help is learn a bit more about what our Somali neighbors experienced before coming to Columbus.Stories: Excerpts from an OPE/Nairobi caseworker's journal
