CRIS’s Citizenship 4 All Program is looking for volunteer teachers and tutors!
After 5 years as a permanent resident, our clients can apply for naturalization in order to become a U.S. citizen. We help with citizenship classes and individual tutoring to assist them in this process.Citizenship Classes - currently held at 4093 Cleveland Ave. (Northern Lights Columbus Metropolitan Library)Saturdays: July thru November 3-5pmWednesdays: June thru August 10-12pmTutoring/Small Group Cohorts - various locationsWe currently have three small groups that meet at three community locations. We are always looking for more tutors/facilitators to lead additional small groups. Volunteers for this activity would create a schedule with the Program Manager that suits their availability; the volunteer would then be matched to a group of 3-5 students who would meet with them at a location of the students choosing. It is requested that volunteers commit to providing tutoring for a period of 3 months. If you're interested, please contact Karin at kblythe@cris-ohio.org for more information, or call 614-987-1641.
