CWS Community Organizer and close CRIS partner Blaise Balazire recently gathered local community leaders to identify issues within their respective communities and unite for change.

On September 29, 2023, President Biden “signed the Presidential Determination on Refugee Admissions for Fiscal Year 2024, setting the refugee admissions target at 125,000 for this upcoming fiscal year.”

Though many Afghans have been welcomed into the U.S. since 2021, many are still awaiting a permanent legal status. CRIS immigration attorney Vincent Wells offers his perspective in this article by Matter News.
