Buying groceries, transporting clients to medical appointments, teaching basic computer skills, moving furniture, tutoring future U.S. citizens—these are just a few of the amazing ways individual volunteers partner with CRIS to support refugees and immigrants here in the Columbus area.
Attending a Good Neighbor Training is the first step to becoming a CRIS volunteer. Offered monthly both virtually and in-person, the Good Neighbor Training is a two-hour information session led by CRIS staff members. Topics covered include the refugee process, challenges refugees face after resettlement, services provided by CRIS, and a brief explanation of ways to get involved.
The next Good Neighbor Training is on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, from 6-8 PM. If you plan to attend the January Good Neighbor Training (virtually or in person), please complete the form below.
