Thank you to a dedicated volunteer, Jim Boyd

CRIS would like to thank our long-time donor and friend, Jim Boyd, for his unwavering support of CRIS and the refugee community. Jim was a prominent lawyer in Columbus, but he always found time to give back to his community.Even though Jim no longer lives in Columbus, he still sends us donations of home and kitchen supplies for the Welcome Kits we provide to newly arrived refugees. Just this month we received a surprise in the mail: a set of new mixing bowls from Jim!

Welcome Kits are the essential household items we give to refugees in the first few days they are in America. They are critical to making refugees’ transitions to life in America as easy as possible. We could not provide these welcome kits without the generous donations of the public - people like Jim Boyd and other like-minded philanthropists.Thank you, Jim, for your continued support of CRIS. Just as Jim will always have a place in his heart for the refugee community, all of us at CRIS will have a place in our hearts for Jim.To learn how to donate for our Welcome Kits: http://www.crisohio.org/get-involved/donate/To learn more about Jim, read our blog post about him from 2012: http://criscommunity.wordpress.com/2012/02/06/how-can-i-help-meet-jim-boyd-one-very-valuable-volunteer/
