Nepali Spiced Chai Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon black tea leaves(or 3 tea bags)
  • 1 2/3 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup milk, heated
  • 1/8-1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/3 whole cloves
  • 2/3-1 cardamom pods,cracked open(or 1/2 tablespoon ground cardamom)
  • 1/3 cinnamon stick

Directions:

  1. Steep tea in boiling water
  2. Add milk,sugar,cloves,cardamom and cinnamon stick
  3. Simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors
  4. Strain and serve hot
