10 years of CRIS!

Yesterday, August 8, 2011, we celebrated the tenth anniversary of the first refugee resettled by CRIS. In the past ten years we have been privileged to welcome and assist over 6,000 refugees as they begin new lives in the United States and in our community.  Refugee resettlement brings joy, tears, frustration, laughter, new friendships and an opportunity for a new life. While a ten-year anniversary is certainly cause for celebration, there is still much work to do.  Refugees we have resettled are very concerned about loved ones affected by the horrific famine in East Africa.  Please see the following story and consider making a donation.  Thank you for your continued support for refugees here and abroad.Sincerely,Angie Plummer, Executive Director
