    This free training, taught by Church World Service (CWS) Community Organizer Blaise Balazire, is for immigrants, refugees, and allies who want to: understand the government structures and how they influence our daily lives, from local to federal levels; discover ways to get involved in decision-making processes to drive meaningful impact on our immigrant and refugee communities; build connections with other engaged community members and collectively advocate for change.   • Refugee Mental Health Workshop

    Wednesday, April 10, 2024 | 9 AM - 12:15 PM

    This free virtual training, offered annually by CRIS Health & Wellness Clinical Lead Kyri Shaffer, aims to help equip mental health professionals (and educators) in Central Ohio to support the mental health needs of the growing refugee population. Topics include the refugee experience and resettlement, barriers to refugees accessing mental health services, and techniques to work more effectively with refugee clients.
